Kính thưa quý quan khách, quý Thầy Cô, quý Anh Chị cùng tất cả các bạn và các em thân mến,
Là sáng lập viên của chương trình Đại hội âm nhạc truyền thống thế giới, Kim Uyên xin phép được có vài lời chia sẻ trước khi khai mạc Đại hội.
Đại hội nhằm mục đích kêu gọi những người yêu thích âm nhạc truyền thống, có dịp tìm đến nhau để trao đổi, chia sẻ kinh nghiệm, đàn hát chung với nhau, và ngoài ra còn đi xa hơn nữa là cùng thống nhất với nhau về những gì liên quan đến âm nhạc truyền thống, làm thế nào để bảo tồn nguyên vẹn bản sắc, nhưng đồng thời vẫn phát triển thêm những sáng kiến mới, để sao cho nền âm nhạc truyền thống ngày một phong phú hơn.
Cứ hai năm một lần, Đại hội được tổ chức luân phiên tại từng châu lục. Lần thứ nhất năm 2011 tại Toronto – Gia Nã Đại, lần thứ hai năm 2013 tại Seattle, Hoa Kỳ, lần thứ ba năm 2015 tại Sydney – Úc Đại Lợi, Nhân dịp này, Kim Uyên xin thay mặt cho tất cả, gửi lời cảm ơn đến quý Thầy Cô, quý vị đại diện cho tổ chức Vietnam Foundation, trường Đại học quốc gia Úc khoa âm nhạc và trường cao đẳng dự bị đại học Úc đã đứng ra gánh vác trọng trách tổ chức chương trình Đại hội tại Sydney. Xin cảm ơn quý mạnh thường quân, quý cơ quan truyền thông, các tham dự viên, các Anh Chị thiện nguyện viên đã cùng chung tay góp sức với Ban tổ chức để làm nên Đại hội 2015.
Trong giây phút quan trọng này, Kim Uyên, một lần nữa xin thay mặt cho tất cả, long trọng tuyên bố: Đại hội thế giới Âm nhạc truyền thống lần thứ ba tại Sydney – Australia 2015 chính thức khai mạc.

Welcome, everyone to our Third …World Festival of Vietnamese Traditional Music.
It took 2 years to prepare for this musical event. Many dedicated members in different countries, have spent countless number of days in planning, organizing, promoting and volunteering to make this festival a very, very special event for all of us. All of us are volunteers. When someone asks a question: if you do this for free then why do you do it?
The answer is a very simple one: we do it for love, we do it because we want to honor the past and we do it because we want to share our passion with the future generation.
On behalf of Tre Viet ensemble, Huong Viet Performing Arts group,Phuong Ca dan ca quoc nhac Paris, Vietnam band, Phuong Ca Oslo, Huong Xua, Lac Viet band, Back to Back Zithers, Golden Bamboo ensemble , Dang Thao ensemble, Vietnamese Artists union of Australia…the professors, the supporters, our distinguished guests, please allow me the opportunity to express my gratitude and honor at the opening of this World Festival of Vietnamese Traditional Music.
After much success in Toronto, Canada in 2011, then Seattle USA in 2013, this year 2015 we are connecting the greater Vietnamese diaspora through promotion and knowledge of Vietnamese traditional music to the wide world from Sydney, Australia. On this occasion, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the Australian National University School of Music, Vietnam Foundation and the University Preparation College Australia for hosting this important event.
I also have a very important announcement to make: the next World Festival of Vietnamese Traditional Music will take place in Paris – France in 2017.
Now I would like to welcome all of our honored guests congregated here and wish all a pleasant stay among us and success in your work, and last but not the least, I would like to extend our deepest gratitude and sincere thanks to all the role players that have made it possible for this dream to become a reality. The next 3 days in Sydney are very special for all of us. We all are here to meet, to learn, to perform and to enjoy our music together, you are our dreamers, our explorers of new possibilities and we have never needed you more than we do today. Thank you very much and have a great festival.
